Bridgette is a qualified journalist with more than 15 years public relations experience in industries including IT, fashion, food & beverage and retail.Throughout her career Bridgette has account directed the New Zealand publicity for major national and global accounts including Symantec, Schwarzkopf Professional Hairdressing Awards, Handspring, Brown Brothers Wine, Nu Skin Enterprises and Pacific Retail Group (Noel Leeming). She was also the first internal public relations person for Lion Breweries, managing the public relations for their consumer brands including Steinlager, Lion Red, Speights and Stella Artois.Having two young sons, her spare time is usually spent climbing ‘Mauao’, enjoying surf club activities and making up wild and wonderful children’s stories where the boys always ‘save the day’. A proven track record in her field of journalism and sales, Natalie was most recently editor at Simply You, New Zealand’s biggest selling fashion magazine, and its sister lifestyle title, Simply You Living. She has also worked in a variety of roles at the BBC in the UK, from research and production in radio and television to live events.Natalie gained a Master’s in Poetry of the Romantic Period from the University of Oxford where she also found love with a kiwi, marrying him at the end of her course and then moving to the amazing Mount Maunganui.With her two little dogs, Bruce (a Pomeranian) and Tilly (a Tibetan Spaniel), Natalie enjoys long beach walks and adores the amazing coastal lifestyle Tauranga has to offer. FRAN BAILEY – ACCOUNT MANAGER
Fran has a Bachelor of Communication Studies from University of Waikato, majoring in Public Relations and Media Studies. During her two and half years at Village, Fran has worked across both PR and marketing teams looking after the majority of Village’s FMCG clients. She has managed their integrated PR and advertising campaigns – some of which also involve social media. Fran also works across all brand development projects, focusing on marketing strategies that move, touch and inspire relevant markets. This deep understanding of brands means Fran brings valuable insights to the PR team. Fran grew up on a farm in the South Waikato and is sports mad. JO-MARIE BAKER – SENIOR WRITER
With over 10 years experience in journalism, who better to write your press releases than someone who’s been on the receiving end of them. Jo-Marie was the Chief Reporter of the Bay of Plenty Times for three years and was responsible for deciding which stories made it into the paper and which didn’t.She also spent many years working as a reporter on the New Zealand Herald so knows how big newsrooms operate and how a journalist thinks.Jo-Marie is now Village’s senior writer. She is also a mum of two young girls so has multi-tasking down to a fine art!
