tim_new TIM PATON  –  NEW BUSINESS DIRECTOR

Tim is a director at Village PR and manages the business development and strategic planning within the business. Having over ten years experience in marketing and selling some of New Zealand’s largest brands, Tim adds a valuable dimension to Village PR team.

While in brand management Tim worked with PR agencies and internal PRs and experienced first hand the impact that third party endorsement via the media has on brands. As a convert Tim speaks with confidence to business owners about how to best utilise PR in their company to meet their marketing and sales objectives.

To unwind Tim spends hours following Manchester United online, reading the sports section and training for triathlons. His dream is for Village PR to manage the Manchester United publicity (although this has to be a team consensus, and with Sam being a Wolverhampton Wanderers supporter, this may not happen in a hurry!).

Although most of her career has been in PR, Bridgette has also had articles published in North & South, New Zealand Herald, Sunday Star-Times, Urbis Landscapes and Mana Magazine.

FranWebsite FRAN BAILEY – ACCOUNT MANAGER

Fran has a Bachelor of Communication Studies from University of Waikato majoring in Public Relations and Media Studies.

Fran is a self-confessed social media geek. She spent two years after her studies working for a strategic marketing company where she introduced export focused companies to the benefits of social media. Fran’s professional experience spans across the export, retail, fashion, sport and arts industries.

Life is all about living for Fran. She is a lover of food, wine, fashion, yoga, travel, and snowboarding, and in a past life used to roller skate for New Zealand. If you’re at the Mount you might catch her at the local farmer’s market, on her beach cruiser, or lugging the surfboard down to the beach.

sam3 SAMANTHA ALLEN – ACCOUNT  EXECUTIVE

Having studied fine art and fashion in the UK, and with hands on experience working in the retail wing of Ralph Lauren, Sam is living her dream as the fashion and lifestyle consultant of Village PR.

Of course Sam is from Birmingham, which has established itself as one of the top shopping destinations in Europe (and happens to be where Ozzy Osbourne hails from!). That dead cool Brummy accent combined with Sam’s can-do attitude makes for winning communications formula.

Currently completing her PR course extramurally, weekends are studying, shopping (of course), snowboarding, kayaking and cooking.

Jo-MarieWebsite JO-MARIE BAKER – SENIOR WRITER

With over 10 years experience in journalism, who better to write your press releases than someone who’s been on the receiving end of them. Jo-Marie was the Chief Reporter of the Bay of Plenty Times for three years and was responsible for deciding which stories made it into the paper and which didn’t.

She also spent many years working as a reporter on the New Zealand Herald so knows how big newsrooms operate and how a journalist thinks.

Jo-Marie is now Village PR’s senior writer, and is also raising her first child at home. She has multi-tasking down to a fine art and enjoys running around a netball court and swimming laps of the pool to keep her energy levels up.
